Detroit Esports was founded in October 2014 by esports enthusiast, Spencer Bing. After attending Red Bull Battlegrounds – Detroit, he realized that there is a definite need for quality esports news outlets. And as he was looking to get involved, he created Detroit Esports to serve as a community platform, giving himself and others a chance to publish esports news.
